*Speculative* New Voter Pocket Guide
︎ 2023This project imagines what a desirable future could look like in American elections through a speculative new voter pocket manual. Made for the year 2040, the guide is intended to be given to every United States citizen when they reach voting age. It is meant to provide clarity about individuals’ new roles in the electorate.
The pocket sized pamphlet unfolds to an opening message from two young characters that narrate the content. Below it holds the recipient’s Voter ID, my concept for universal identification that also acts as an interface for electoral activity.
The inside provides a variety of information illustrating the new normal for American elections. On the whole, it imagines a society where voting is a more accessible, exciting, and authentic activity. It also tries to reach a young audience and demistify civic engagement for them.
