Zine-ifesto! Workshop
︎ 2023As an exercise in lesson planning I designed and faciliated a workshop that used zine making as an avenue for creating a personalized design manifesto. The full workshop presentation is featured below.
Designers’ practices are informed by the frameworks of others, but we should approach their work critically. The creative practice of zine making has shown to be an excellent tool for critical making. In this workshop participants will learn to use zines as an avenue for self expression and analysis related to their attitudes towards design. It will encourage a collage-like approach to the way we interpret existing manifestos and frameworks, as we craft our own.
